Show Preview for Art Bar August 8th

Hello again dear internets,

Just recently, the Brisbones had the opportunity to sit down with Cynical McWary to talk about our show at Art Bar on August 8th.

CM
Let’s just skip the pleasantries and get right to the heart of the matter. How will this show be worth my Saturday evening and $3. For that kind of money, I could have one PBR and talk about Velvet Underground at the Whig.

TB
First off, this will potentially be one of the last few shows people will get a chance to catch the Brisbones in Columbia. We’ve weighed and measured every song we’ve written to pick only the finest for our audiences.

CM
So a more concentrated Brisbones performance…

TB
Exactly.

CM
Ok, so you guys are promising to bring the heat. What about these other schmoes playing with you?

TB
Well, we’d like to dispel any rumors that the bands accompanying us are or have been affiliated in any way to schmoes. Here’s the breakdown:
Mercy Mercy Me: these guys have been known to punch polar bears in the face. We promise that if there’s a band that could rock harder than the Brisbones, it would be these guys.
Population Control: we haven’t had the opportunity to see these punk rockers live, but they come highly recommended by the guys of Mercy Mercy Me. As of right now, that’s good enough for the Brisbones.
Calculator: these guys are a newer band to the Columbia scene and from what we hear they’re not your typical Columbia band. With influences from the Pixies to the Dandy Warhols, these guys are sure to put on a performance that you won’t likely find around here.

CM
Well what if I get there and one of the bands suck?

TB
The Brisbones will take full responsibility. It’s our mission to see that there won’t ever be a dull moment during one of our tickets. We don’t believe this will be an issue on this show.

CM
So where do we send our hate mail if the show is a total waste of time?

TB
Geeze, we’re just a couple of local bands doing our best to put on a good show for $3.

CM
I guess it wouldn’t kill me to take you at your word.

TB
No it wouldn’t, and you could learn to be a little more positive, sir.

CM
Life makes it hard.

TB
Nobody said it was easy.

CM
Coldplay?

TB
Fair game. They ripped off Joe Satriani.

Fin.

There you have it folks. Doors are at 8:00, the cover is $3. See you there!
