We're Still Doing Stuff
Hey gang,
If you look at our myspace page right now, you will see that we don’t have any shows up. I don’t want anyone thinking that we’re slacking off. In the past few weeks we’ve been focusing all of our energies on stripping our song writing down and building it back from the ground up. With what I’ve come up with in the past week, I feel this has been a much...

Show Preview for August 29th at New Brookland...
This will be the first full-on show that we’ve more or less put together ourselves with bands that WE think are worth your time and money. There may be some who come to this show and think to themselves, “How could three bands with very distinct sounds work so well off of each other?” The answer is simple. Each band has their own way of creating musical moments that are both...
Cause I Just Feel Like Writing
Hello dear citizen of the internet,
Why anyone would come here and read what I have to write is a mystery to me. The fact of the matter is that I’m not an expert on anything other than being an expert on myself. For these kinds of things it’s always just been the writing. I love to do it. Always have. Anyways…
SO: we of The Brisbones want to start recording ourselves. ...
New Tunes in the Morning
One of the first few things I will be doing simultaneously among the other just as important things that I do will be to upload the new songs we recorded a few weeks ago. They are of course the songs “Leave It Alone” and “Too Much.” These songs were specifically designed to create the “hell yeah” effect. Right now, I’m too tired and I need to go to bed...
I Hate Macs
It’s like having a calculator sized computer. My hands keep touching the pad as I’m typing and it makes the computer do whacky crap. Annoyed: check.
So anyway, we’re writing some new songs for the 29th that we feel will be a fresh step for us.
We’ve begun a few projects to maybe get some merchandise for the next show as well.
We have some plans to get some new band...
So What Does a Brisbone do After a Show?
So here’s the premise to this little entry. I took a sleep aid to aid me to sleep despite the ache in my body and the ringing in my ears.
A Brisbone get’s home and smells like sweat and as dingy as the bar they just played. We then spend the first couple of hours counting the g’s we made off of you enablers. Holla.
So we had a dude firing a firearm tonight. Glad no one...
Just Finished Listening to Unfinished Tracks
Hey gang,
Gotta say we’re really enjoyin the new tunes we crunched out with Taylor Bray of Taylor Bray Recordings. Unfortunately for you(if you’re a band), Taylor is moving to Nashville to finish up his schooling and continue his pursuit in recording business. Over the last seven/eight years or so, Taylor has been with me at every step of my musical maturity recording it. From...
Show Preview for Art Bar August 8th
Hello again dear internets,
Just recently, the Brisbones had the opportunity to sit down with Cynical McWary to talk about our show at Art Bar on August 8th.
CM
Let’s just skip the pleasantries and get right to the heart of the matter. How will this show be worth my Saturday evening and $3. For that kind of money, I could have one PBR and talk about Velvet Underground at the Whig.

To Bands: For Your Consideration
Hidey-Ho Internets,
Playing with a new band can sometimes feel like a first date. You’re never really sure of their intentions entirely. Over the last year it’s funny to see how band’s would tell us upon meeting them “hey, let’s get a show together sometime!” It’s almost like a nervous tick for most bands. We’ve also had bands talk about how...
Things Coming Up and What-not
‘Sup gang,
So we’re keeping pretty busy. We’re trying to get the hell out of Columbia right now. Because even though our hearts overflow with gratefulness to those who have shown their support, things just haven’t felt right here in our home city. Unfortunate but true. Columbia will always have a sentimental place in our hearts, but we don’t feel that this is...

Finished E.P.
Hey gang,
The Brisbones E.P. is officially finished. At least finished enough for us to start putting it in people’s hands. We will be giving them away for not $100-not $.50-not $7.00-but for FREE. Why? Because we don’t have enough money to package it and just because we love you guys so much. So come to our next show at the Elbow Room where we will be playing with Co. and get...

EP Update
Hey guys,
We’ve been recording with Taylor Bray of Taylor Bray Recordings. He’s great at what he does and very fun to work with. If you’re a band who’s interested in getting a good recording at very easy and fair rates, he is the man for you. Get in touch soon though because he’s always booked.
We have finished recording everything we will be putting out. ...
My First Entry to the Last of a Great Songwriter
(Currently listening to Sondre Lerche-Stupid Memory)
The other day I attended the Ryan Adams concert at the Township. It’s hard to believe that this could be the last time I will see him perform live. It’s funny to me, but sometimes I remember certain phases of my life by the Ryan Adams album I was into. It was interesting to see so many people have different connections to his...
